Historical building of former mill, of about 300 square meters dated back in the 1700 completely restored (interior, exterior and roof) in full compliance with its peculiarities.
The property consists of:
ground floor: access directly in the kitchen as it used to be in the past, with on your right the big main living room with huge fireplace and a pellet stove to heat the whole area, the walls have been recently painted in sandy color which give a very relaxing atmosphere to the entire house. The kitchen is very typical with stone sink and another fireplace to cook in. On the left there’s the dining room which is the former stable. A wide double room with stone walls and an amazing lighting effect which makes the room unique. Going up few steps there’s the main bathroom, with bath and stone walls. This is very big to let you move easily.
first floor: this floor is a sequence of rooms. You enter in the first one which used to be the main kitchen, now it is a studio with fire place and a small toilet. Through a door you go in the bedroom and from the bedroom through another door there’s another small kitchen and another bedroom plus 2 other bathrooms. The first floor used to be rented to tourists who could access to the first floor from an exterior staircase too and be completely indipendent.
The whole house is very warm thanks to the 3 ways of heating the owner made: hot water heating system all over the house, 2 pellet stoves, one in the living room and another in the dining room, and fireplaces in the living room and in the studio upstairs, also one in the kitchen.
Throughout the house there is wood floor and ceilings with wooden beams.
The property includes 1500 meters of garden in which was placed an above ground swimming pool which can be build underground.
In the garden there are several trees like hazel, cherry, maples and olive trees, as well as aromatic plants like rosemary and incense, in addition to the several flowers all over the garden.
As it was a mill, a river used to pass under the house, nowadays the river has been diverted but where it used to pass there’s still a passage which collects rain water.
Also in the garden there are pieces of the old original millstone, a wonderful memory of the history of this charming country house.
